Snowboard Project

Objective

To create artwork for the top and bottom of a snowboard, including a logo for a snowboard company. The images had to express the exceptional creativity and vitality of the snowboard community.

Solution

For the snowboard I wanted to have a lot of fun with the creative freedom of the project and I wanted to put a face on the board and have it be as colorful as possible. I wanted it to be a design where if I saw it in real life I would instanly be drawn to it. I found this Alex Grey image where it was a room full of dimentional faces, so I took the face and made it my own and added color to it and filled it in and messed with the line measurements. I then repeated the face on the front of the board, flipping it upside down and then left to right without any stroke. On the back I wanted half of the faces to be zoomed in so you can see the line art more, and be more colorfully grabbing and be able to reflect off the snow of the bottom of the board
